Ghost of Yotei is an action-packed game with many great combat sequences. Unlike Ghost of Tsushima‘s Jin Sakai, Ghost of Yotei’s Atsu has several weapons to choose from. From her katana, the conventional weapon of the samurai, suited for close-quarters duels, to a variety of ranged weapons, Atsu is armed to the teeth, and you get to utilize all of the tools at her disposal if you know where to find them.
With her ranged weapons, Atsu can make short work of enemies from a distance. Though there aren’t that many ranged weapons in Ghost of Yotei, the few that are available are useful for picking enemies apart from a distance and maintaining stealth.
Hankyu

Atsu’s Hankyu is a mid-range bow with decent draw speed and damage output. This weapon is a great choice in active battle with multiple lower-level foes, as its arrows are plentiful and cheap to craft. The downside to this weapon is that it is incapable of piercing heavily armored foes, so pick your battles wisely.
You can purchase a Hankyu from Ran the Bowyer for 300 coins at any region’s inn or settlement. Your earliest opportunity to purchase the Hankyu is by liberating Yotei’s Shadow Inn from the Saito Clan in the Old Inn revenge quest.
Unlocking the altered Hankyu for 450 coins and 40 wood gets you some damage and performance boosts, and the ability to shoot flaming arrows. The reinforced version further boosts the performance and costs 750 coins, 60 wood, and 20 Oni masks. The enhanced Hankyu costs 1500 coins, 60 young bamboo, and 20 shinobi steel; you gain poison arrows. The perfected version maxes out the weapons’ performance and damage output for 2500 coins, 10 gun parts, and 20 rare wood.

Yumi

The Yumi is a powerful great bow, capable of dishing out massive amounts of damage, and Atsu uses it exactly as advertised. Capable of piercing armored foes, this longbow may be slow to draw, but every arrow counts. This bow is great for stealth situations, as you can pick off your enemies one at a time from a safe distance without ever being noticed.
Similar to the Hankyu, the Yumi is available to purchase from the Yotei Shadow Inn after you complete the Old Inn revenge quest. Ran the Bowyer has it valued at 2000 coins.
The altered Yumi unlocks the disarm arrows and costs 450 coins and 40 young bamboo. The reinforced Yumi costs 750 coins, 100 young bamboo, and 20 Oni masks. The enhanced Yumi costs 1500 coins, 100 young bamboo, and 20 shinobi steel. Finally, the perfected Yumi costs 2500 coins, 10 gun parts, and 20 rare wood, and unlocks explosive arrows.

Tanegashima Matchlock

The Tanegashima is Atsu’s devastating rifle. A powerful weapon capable of damaging any level of opponent, this weapon is one of the heaviest hitters out of Atsu’s arsenal. Unfortunately, the Tanegashima has a slow rate of fire and reload speed, leaving you open to attacks in between shots.
You can find the Tanegashima at the Oshima Coast at the end of the Storm Breaks revenge quest as part of the main story.
The enhanced Tanegashima costs 3,000 coins and 20 gun parts and unlocks the deadly shrapnel ammo. The perfected Tanegashima costs 5,000 coins, 50 metal, and 30 gun parts.
