EA’s Battlefield 6 has lived up to the hype as it has smashed through Steam charts records over the launch weekend. The latest first-person shooter did not require a lot of time to surpass other big names, such as Call of Duty, Marvel Rivals, and Apex Legends. As per SteamDB, Battlefield reached an all-time peak of 747,440 concurrent players within a few hours of the launch.

Battlefield 6 Breaks Into Top 3 Most Played Games on Steam Today

Steam charts reveal that Battlefield 6 is the third most-played game on Steam based on the number of players in the game. At the time of writing this, EA’s latest shooter had 374,247 players active, just behind Counter-Strike 2 and DOTA 2. This highlights the immense buzz surrounding the newly released first-person shooter, but considering the response to the game’s beta release, it should not be a surprise to anyone.

Battlefield 6 Season 1 Free Content Details

EA shared a Battlefield 6 Season 1 free content roadmap earlier this month. The free content will be available in three phases. Rogue Ops is the first phase that will land on October 28. The remaining two phases, i.e., California Resistance and Winter Offensive, will debut on November 18 and December 9, respectively.

These phases will deliver new maps, weapons, and game modes to keep things fresh and exciting for players. Blackwell Fields and Eastwood are the two new maps that will join the first-person shooter in the coming weeks. Strikepoint and Sabotage are the two modes that will offer new ways to play the game.

As it happens with modern shooter games, Battlefield 6 will also have a battle royale mode. The studio is yet to share a launch date, but we know a few things to expect from the new mode as and when it is released.
