Cyberpunk 2077

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is a PS5 remastered version of the game released in 2018. It is the game that kick-started the Spider-Man franchise by Insomniac Games. It introduces us to Peter Parker and Spider-Man as he juggles between both responsibilities. While being the latter, he needs to take control of a dangerous threat looming over New York City. The game is known for its storyline, engaging gameplay, combat, and fun traversal mechanism.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a spin-off title in the series that introduces us to a new Spider-Man, Miles Morales. He takes over the responsibility of protecting New York City after Peter Parker has to go out of town. This new Spider-Man has its own unique superpowers like Venom Blast and Camouflage. It has a short runtime of about 8 hours, but you will not regret playing this game.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut
Ghost of Tsushima is one of the best games published by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE). The game’s events are set during the first Mongol invasion of Japan. You play as Jin Sakai, a samurai, who must protect his land from the invasion by defeating Khotun Khan, a ruthless Mongol ruler. He will have to make difficult decisions to reach his goal. Since its sequel, Ghost of Yotei, is set to arrive in October, this is the perfect time to get started with the game.
Hollow Knight
Hollow Knight is a popular indie Metroidvania video game released in 2017. It stars a nameless insectoid warrior character exploring Hallownest, a fallen kingdom affected by a supernatural disease. You will unlock unique abilities to take on bosses as you make progress. You can visit different areas of the map as you continue to explore. The game recently received a sequel, Hollow Knight: Silksong, that has already attracted players in massive numbers.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut
Death Stranding is the brainchild of Hideo Kojima, a renowned video game director, designer, writer, and producer. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic United States where humanity is on the verge of extinction. Our protagonist is Sam Porter Bridges, a courier with the responsibility of delivering supplies to isolated human colonies. He will take on different enemies like BTs (otherworldly creatures), MULE (a cult-gang), and Demens. The game’s much-awaited sequel, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, was released earlier this year.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection features two of the most recent Uncharted video games, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. The former is the fourth main entry in the series and completes Nathan Drake’s journey. He goes on a journey with his brother Sam and long-time partner Sulley to look for the lost treasure of King Avery.
The Lost Legacy is more of a spin-off title featuring Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross. The duo is exploring the Western Ghats mountain ranges of India and looking for the Tusk of Lord Ganesh. Both these games should be on your list if you like the thrill of finding hidden treasures, solving puzzles, and some combat action in between.
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition serves as the origin of Lara Croft in this Tomb Raider Survivor trilogy series. It shows an inexperienced Lara visiting a fictional island called Yamatai in search of a lost kingdom. She encounters the Solarii Brotherhood, a violent cult that worships Himiko, the “Sun Queen” who is said to have ruled over the lost kingdom. She must battle and survive the cult members to save her friends and escape the island.
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Rise of the Tomb Raider is the second game in the Tomb Raider Survivor trilogy. Lara’s latest adventure takes her to Siberia as she is looking to find the lost city of Kitezh. However, she is not alone in the quest, as a paramilitary organization, Trinity, also wants to find the city for evil reasons. Her task is to fight Trinity and prevent them from achieving their notorious goals.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the final release in the Survivor trilogy. Its events take place three years after the previous game, as Lara once again finds herself fighting Trinity. She is on a quest to stop the Mayan apocalypse that she unleashed unintentionally. She visits the legendary city of Paititi in the Americas region. This is my favorite game in the whole series by a long mile.
Demon’s Souls
Demon’s Souls is a PS5 remake of the critically acclaimed video game originally released in 2009. It is the title that introduced the gamers to the Soulslike genre. It also serves as a precursor to another popular FromSoftware title, Dark Souls. The game is set in a fictional kingdom of Boletaria that has been consumed by a dark being. You take control of a hero brought to the kingdom to kill its fallen king and control the dark being.
Bloodborne
Bloodborne is widely regarded as one of the best FromSoftware games. It is a must-play for anyone who is a fan of Soulslike titles. The game is set in a Victorian-esque European city whose residents are affected by a blood-borne disease. This disease transforms affected residents into horrifying and deadly beasts. Our protagonist is called The Hunter, who must explore the city and defeat beasts to find the source of the disease.
Days Gone
Days Gone is an action-adventure video game set in a post-apocalyptic Oregon where the majority of humans have turned into deadly zombies. Deacon St. John, a former outlaw biker, is trying to survive the new, harsh world alongside his friend Boozer. He eventually gets information that his presumably dead wife, Sarah, could still be alive. This is when he begins a journey to discover the truth and meet her if she is not dead. The game also has a remastered version for PS5, but you only get the original PS4 version with PS Plus.
Control
Control is the video game to play if you are looking to be immersed in a spooky and weird supernatural environment. The game puts us in the shoes of Jesse Faden, the new Director of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), a secret government agency for studying supernatural phenomena. The bureau is under the corruption of a mysterious otherworldly entity that Faden must clear out. The game offers unique weapons and a combat system that you will enjoy.
Returnal
Returnal is a third-person shooter video game that puts you in a bizarre environment setting on an alien planet, Altropos. Selene Vassos is an astronaut who finds herself on this planet in search of a mysterious “White” signal. She gets stuck in a time loop on the planet where she keeps dying again and again. You have to figure out what’s going on and get out of the loop.
Doom Eternal
Doom Eternal is the seventh game in the popular Doom series. It is a sequel to Doom (2016), and Doom Slayer is once again on a mission to take down Hell’s armies. The goal is to prevent the final destruction of humanity. The game has various modes apart from the single-player story mode to keep you engaged as you keep killing demons. If you are a fan of the Doom series or want to try it for the first time, this is a good title to play.
Mortal Kombat 1
Mortal Kombat 1 is another reboot of the well-known Mortal Kombat franchise. Its events are set in a new timeline, the third main timeline in the series’ history, that begins after the Mortal Kombat 11 events. It is created by Liu Kang, who assembles fighters for a new Mortal Kombat tournament. The game has various offline and online modes to keep you hooked.
Hogwarts Legacy
If you are a Harry Potter fan who always wanted to be a wizard at Hogwarts, Hogwarts Legacy is a game that you must play at least once. Its events take place about a century earlier than the Harry Potter novels. It has an open-world setting where you play the role of a young wizard enrolled at Hogwarts. You will learn new spells and skills while trying to maintain the stability of the wizarding world.
