Creaks (2020)

A massive and creepy mansion is under his room. Upon entering a house, he finds a strange world of moving paintings, bird people and creatures running about. Lost Planet Trilogy has been lost to time

I remember being intrigued by the reveal of the very first Lost Planet game (Lost Planet: Extreme Condition). I eventually got around to borrowing the game from a friend years after its release and playing through the entire thing on the Xbox 360. Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is like trying to survive an alien snowstorm while wearing lead boots. The controls feel like Wayne is perpetually walkin...[Read More]

Call of Duty: World At War is the definitive WW2 experience

In a series known for its bombastic set pieces, intense action, memorable characters and settings, what makes COD: WAW standout in the crowd? What’s interesting to note, is for a while, many people didn’t think it did. When WAW was first released back in 2008, many saw it as just another standard WW2 FPS. While the WW2 market at the time was pretty flooded, it’s easy to see why i...[Read More]

Jak 2 is great but such a drag

I’ve been an OG Naughty Dog fan all my life. I didn’t have a PS1 when I was a kid but I remember loving Crash Bandicoot as a character and enjoying the games at a friends. Then I had a Ps2 and loved the first Jak and Daxter game, which was certainly more appealing to kids. I don’t think I would’ve persevered through Jak 2 at that young of an age as I didn’t play 2 or 3 until much older. A couple y...[Read More]

I think people should give The Last Guardian another chance

Team Ico had a solid legacy of critical acclaim with their first two titles. The fittingly named 2001 debut video game ‘Ico’ was a decent success and grew in popularity as the years went on, garnering a cult following. I personally enjoyed Ico and thought it was a charming and unique little game, but like most, the studio earned my fandom after their titanic hit ‘Shadow of the Colossus’. Fans were...[Read More]

Stray

Welcome to Stray, where you play as a street smart kitty navigating through a post apocalyptic neon lit world. If you’re a cat lover, stray is the ultimate wish-fulfillment game. Feels almost as though they took my own orange cat and put him into the motion-capture suit for a day then made it into a game about a robotic dystopian city with a cat traversing it. The only issue really with Stray, at ...[Read More]

Resident Evil 4 Remake

As far as remakes go, RE4 is the cream of the crop. In the last decade or so, the gaming industry has been swarmed with, Remakes, Remasters, Reboots, Reimaginings, etc. Many gamers have been open to the idea of their favorite games receiving the update treatment. Dead Space Remake

The gaming industry has been killing it with the remakes lately. Just when we thought that everyone was fatigued by retreading, Capcom showed us that sometimes a remake can even surpass the original. The latest Dead Space does just that. The 2023 remake of Dead Space is a masterclass in modernizing a beloved classic while staying true to its roots. From the moment you step back into the shoes of I...[Read More]
