FromSoftware has officially confirmed that Elden Ring Nightreign DLC will arrive on December 4. The much-awaited and long-rumored DLC is called The Forsaken Hollows. It will be the first DLC release for the popular spin-off title of the main Elden Ring, the winner of The Game Awards’ Game of the Year award in 2022. The new downloadable content will bring more characters, boss battles, and other content for players to enjoy. Here is everything you need to know.
Elden Ring Nightreign DLC: What’s New?
The first Elden Ring Nightreign DLC, The Forsaken Hollows, will add two new playable characters. These will be your new playable Nightfarer warriors: Scholar and Undertaker. The Scholar is a character who weilds a book and seems to be an arcane-focused magic user. As for the Undertaker, it is a female character with a focus on strength and faith. The new characters will give players a new way of engaging in battles as they collaborate with other players over a period of three in-game days.
The DLC will also introduce two new bosses that you will have to face in Limveld. You can have a look at these bosses in the official teaser trailer below, which also shows a glimpse of Artorias from the Dark Souls DLC. It further showcases a new Shifting Earth pattern called The Great Hollow. This will add a new dynamic to the gameplay experience.
Elden Ring Nightreign DLC: Price and Pre-Order Bonus
FromSoftware has revealed that Elden Ring Nightreign DLC will be a free addition for those who already own the Deluxe or Collector’s Edition of the game. Those who only have the Elden Ring Nightreign Standard edition will have to pay USD 15 to buy The Forsaken Hollows DLC. The DLC will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC starting December 4. Do note that you will need to have Elden Ring Nightreign, not the main game Elden Ring, to play the new DLC.
If you choose to pre-order Elden Ring Nightreign DLC, you will get the Elden Ring Nightreign digital artbook and mini soundtrack as a bonus gift. These will be available as downloadable apps and feature the same content as in the Deluxe Edition and Deluxe Upgrade Pack. The studio says the bonus gift will become available to access immediately after the pre-order purchase.
