It seems Epic Games and HoYoVerse are poised to make a collaboration effort, as the latter’s Honkai Star Rail may be the star of a new crossover event on Fortnite.
The news is not confirmed, we’ll say it right now, but it does start because of Epic Games, whose official X/Twitter profile published the following image:
The following got a repost from notoriously reliable Fortnite leaker Shiina, who posted the same image alongside a Honkai Star Rail artwork:
Fans have already begun the rumor mill, with some eagle-eyed gamers pointing out the swords depicted in the image to belong to Blade and Kafka — you can see both examples on the images below.

It was somewhat tough to find images that would fit the comparison, as most searches on Google result in Amazon printing kits for cosplayers for both Kafka and Blade — but given the faithfulness that cosplayers prize while portraying the characters, we’ll go out on a limb and assume those as official as well.
Honkai Star Rail’s news front has been a bit slow as of late: the latest update we had came in December, when HoYoVerse introduced the “Memories are the Prelude to Dreams” (Update 3.8). After that, things have been mostly tepid, so a crossover with Fortnite could be the reason why (as well as allowing things to be “fresh”).
Plus, it wouldn’t be the first time HoYo had a crossover with another, well known franchise: Genshin Impact had an event that introduced Aloy, from Horizon Zero Dawn, as a 5-star character for the biggest gacha game in the industry.
