Playground Games has officially shared all the details about Forza Horizon 6, its next racing game in the iconic Forza series. The game was first announced last year, where we learned about its setting in Tokyo, Japan. It will be a direct successor to Forza Horizon 5, released in 2021 and ported to PlayStation 5 in 2025. We finally have more Forza Horizon 6 details like its release date, features, different editions, prices, and pre-orders. Here is everything you need to know.
Forza Horizon 6 Release Date and Pre-orders Bonus
Forza Horizon 6 will release on May 19, 2026, globally, but you can get up to four days of early access (May 15) with the Premium Edition. It will be available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The game will also be a part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. PlayStation 5 players will have to wait until later this year to get their hands on the game. They can choose to wishlist the game on the PS Store in the meantime.
Forza Horizon 6 pre-orders are currently underway via the Microsoft Store and Steam. All players who pre-order the game will get an exclusive and pre-tuned Ferrari J50.
Forza Horizon 6 Editions, Extra Content, and Price
Forza Horizon 6 is available in three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Premium. These editions are priced at USD 69.99, USD 99.99, and USD 119.99, respectively.
The Standard Edition features only the base game. The Deluxe Edition will give you the Car Pass and Welcome Pack. Car Pass will give you access to 30 extra cars on top of the 550+ cars you get with the base game. The Welcome Pack includes 5 pre-tuned cars, free Player House, one-time Golden Ticket (free Autoshow car), and 3 tickets for Common or Rare clothing.
The Premium Edition includes everything that we mentioned above and the following:

Forza Horizon 6 Gameplay Features
Forza Horizon 6 is an open-world racing game with support for both solo and co-op multiplayer modes. It is set in Japan and features the biggest map yet in the franchise’s history. The Tokyo City area in the game is five times larger than any other city area so far. This means players will have plenty of roads and streets to drive and explore in this upcoming game.
Its campaign mode will have your custom character start as a tourist in Japan rather than as a rookie, racing champion, or a Superstar of the Festival. You will have to complete Horizon Qualifiers to join the Horizon Festival. Once you are part of the festival, your journey to become a Festival Legend will begin. This will include participating in various events, collecting Wristbands, and rising the ranks to unlock better, faster, and more powerful cars.
Wristbands can be unlocked only by completing special events like Horizon Showcase and Horizon Rush at the end of each Round. Once you earn the Gold Wristband, you will be invited to the Legend Island. This is an exclusive region featuring special events, tracks, and areas to explore. Since Forza Horizon 6 is set in Japan, you will get to visit various iconic Japanese locations, experience Japanese car culture, and experience different weather.
