So, a bunch of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 leaks have come out, thanks to notoriously reliable insider “Tez2” over at gtaforums—and it seems the game will be the most contemporary iteration of the franchise yet.
The thread itself is fairly long, what with people commenting on the original post more and more by the hour. But it does seem that the game—which is 8 months away from its launch—will keep some of its tradition of mirroring, somewhat sarcastically, most of real life’s mundane details.
Particularly in this case, some curiosities may show up next year. Let it be noted, though: these are leaks, wildly unconfirmed ones at that, so take all of these with a grain of salt.

GTA 6 leaks: What are they telling us now?

Apps like Uber and WhatsApp will have their own parody versions
The most recent GTA 6 leaks point out to a series of domains registered by Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Entertainment (yeah, the same from that game that lost a bunch of people), pointing to addresses that, allegedly, may be referring to in-game apps that mirror real-life mobile programs we use everyday.
Here’s a list, as well as what app they might be referring to:
- brianandbradley.com: A possible parody of a personal injury law firm, similar to Morgan & Morgan.
- buckme.app: Believed to be an in-game parody of a money transfer service like Venmo, or a crowdfunding/social media platform. Other websites pointed out that, due to its eerily similar phonetics to an F-bomb, this address might also be an OnlyFans parody.
- hookers-galore.com: The name suggests an adult-themed site, but some theorize it could be a humorous misdirection, possibly a parody of a fishing or towing company.
- leonidagov.org: Likely the official website for the fictional state government of Leonida, where the game is set. This is actually a good opportunity to clarify a point of confusion: GTA 6 is set in Leonida (a state that parodies Florida), which contains Vice City (which mirrors and exaggerates Miami).
- myboyhasacreepycorndog.com: A seemingly nonsensical or joke website, possibly related to an in-game event or Easter egg.
- rydeme.app: A probable parody of a popular rideshare service like Uber or Lyft.
- what-up.app: A likely parody of a messaging application, such as WhatsApp.
- wipeoutcornskin.com: Another seemingly random or joke website, possibly a reference to a specific in-game item or event.
All of these could mean these things, or some other things entirely, or even no things at all. Who knows?

No more taxis?
As ScreenRant points out, the presence of a “rydeme.app” domain might indicate something else: taxis may be gone in GTA 6. Well, not gone gone, per se—taxis still exists as they always have, but the demand for them in real life scenarios has diminished with the expansion of the ride-sharing industry, chief among them, Uber and Lyft, among others.
This fact may not have escaped the new game, if these GTA 6 leaks are to be believed: in GTA V, IV and all previous games, most paid-for transportation was handled by the fictional “Downtown Cab Co.” taxing company (we all remember Roman Bellic being a funny rival in the fourth iteration).
However, as GTA 6 is set in modern-day (actual year unknown for now), it is highly likely that a city as urban-developed as Vice City will have also adopted the modern-day conveniences, such as hailing a car ride from your phone.
This, however, brings more suspicion over merely a certain gimmick being gone: most GTA games had a taxi-driving minigame which might be gone in the new title—as if now, since we can’t confir, the authenticity of any of these leaks, we can only hope that’s not the case (those minigames were hella fun!).

How does the new GTA leaks relate to older GTA 6 leaks?
As GTA 6 leaks go, the above headings are pretty much we’re getting today. However, it is important to remember that we also had that massive, 2022 leak, where we found out about a lot of important stuff: two protagonists, the contemporary setting and some tidbits of the plot, for instance.
Now, as more information comes out, we know that Lucia and Jason, both protagonists, will have all sorts of digital interactions, most likely made through their smartphones. How does this relate to the main story? We haven’t got the foggiest, to be honest.
But GTA 6 is poised to be LOUSY minigames, so it is possible that the game does use those mechanics to some capacity.
Either way, there’s still a bit of time left for us to find out: Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released in May 26, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X. No word on a PC version but, judging from Rockstar’s history, it might take a few months or maybe a full year before they get to see the game there.
