So, Nintendo hosted its Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase stream event earlier this Thursday and, as expected, there were a bunch of interesting announcements to be made.
As we anticipated in our article published yesterday, Capcom did get a major piece of the stream dedicated to its closest and furthest releases for 2026, but there were some nice surprises — the Bethesda thing at the end got me, I can’t lie.
So read on to see every major announcement made at the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, starting with the full stream below?
Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase February 2026: Here’s the whole thing
The first proper Nintendo Direct of 2026 arrived as a Partner Showcase, focusing specifically on third-party titles for both the current Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2. While the presentation did not feature first-party Nintendo icons like Mario, it delivered a packed 30-minute slate of sequels, remasters, and brand-new reveals from major industry partners.
Intergalactic Co-op and Supernatural Mysteries
The showcase opened with a detailed look at Orbitals, a co-op puzzle adventure designed in the style of 1980s anime. Players control two young explorers, Maki and Omra, who must use tools like the scrap hook, liquid launcher, and beam cannon to navigate a research station struck by a cosmic storm. The game features Game Share for local or online play and is set to launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 this summer.
Following this was the reveal of Paranormasight: The Mermaid’s Curse, a sequel to the acclaimed mystery adventure. Set in Eay Bay, the story follows pearl diver Yuza Minakuchi as he investigates strange incidents and mermaid legends. The title is coming to the Nintendo Switch on February 19, 2026.
Additionally, Bandai Namco revealed Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters, an anime-styled soccer sequel featuring over 110 characters, scheduled for release on Switch later this year.
Survival, Horror, and the “Switch 2” Edge
Capcom and other partners showcased titles taking full advantage of the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware. Tokyo Scramble, a stealth-horror game set in a subterranean world filled with “Zinos,” was announced as an exclusive for the Switch 2, launching February 11, 2026.
The popular Viking survival hit Valheim was also confirmed to be coming to the Switch 2 in 2026, allowing up to 10 players to build, craft, and explore together.
One of the biggest surprises was the shadow drop of Hollow Knight Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Available later today, this version features enhanced visuals and improved frame rates; notably, players who already own the original game on the Nintendo Switch can upgrade for free.
Major RPGs and Sports Titles
Square Enix had a significant presence, confirming that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will arrive on the Switch 2 on June 3, 2026, with pre-orders opening today.
They also announced The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, a top-down HD-2D RPG that spans four different ages of civilization, set for release on June 18, 2026.
Other notable announcements included:
- eFootball: Kick Off: A Nintendo-specific version of Konami’s soccer franchise coming to Switch 2 this summer.
- Super Bomberman Collection: A digital bundle of five SNES-era titles, including games previously unreleased in North America, available today.
- Pragmata: Capcom’s space adventure received a new gameplay trailer highlighting its hacking mechanics; it launches April 24, 2026, with a demo available today.
- Turok: Origins: A co-op intergalactic shooter from Saber Interactive arriving in Fall 2026.
Genre Blends and Creature Collection
Kyoto Xanadu, a summer release for both Switch and Switch 2, was revealed as a unique blend of 2D platforming, 3D RPG combat, and dating sim elements.
For Digimon fans, Digimon Story: Time Stranger will launch on July 10, 2026, offering a 4K/30fps “Quality Mode” and a Full HD/60fps “Performance Mode” on the Switch 2.
The showcase also highlighted Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok, launching July 9…
…and Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, coming March 13, 2026. A demo for the latter is available today with save data transfer support.
Retro fans were introduced to Console Archives, a new line of classic home console ports starting with Ninja Gaiden 2 and Cool Boarders, both available today.
Rapid-Fire Headlines and Resident Evil Requiem
A fast-paced segment of the Direct confirmed several other titles heading to Nintendo systems, including Another Eden Begins, WWE 2K26, Goat Simulator 3, and Disney Dreamlight Valley Switch 2 Edition. Scott Pilgrim Ex also made an appearance to remind fans of its upcoming release.
The horror spotlight returned with Resident Evil Requiem, which featured gameplay of protagonists Grace and Leon. Launching February 27, 2026, the game will be accompanied by ports of Resident Evil 7 and Village on the same day. New amiibo figures for Leon and Grace were also revealed for a summer release.
Bethesda’s Grand Finale
The showcase concluded with a major commitment from Bethesda Game Studios, bringing three massive franchises to the Nintendo Switch 2.
- Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition: Includes the base game and six expansions, launching February 24, 2026.
- Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Indy’s latest globetrotting adventure will arrive on May 12, 2026.
- The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered: The final reveal of the show was a remastered version of the classic RPG featuring meticulously recreated models and updated combat animations. While it is confirmed for a 2026 release, a specific date has not yet been set.
