Phantom Blade Zero is officially confirmed to be a PlayStation 5 console exclusive for 12 months. This is disappointing news for non-PlayStation console players, as they will have to wait for at least one year to get their hands on one of the most hyped games of 2026. The confirmation came towards the end of the latest Phantom Blade Zero release date announcement video uploaded on the PlayStation YouTube channel.
Phantom Blade Zero Release Date for PS5 and PC Revealed
The dedicated release date video revealed Phantom Blade Zero will arrive on September 9, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and PC. It showed a footnote towards the end that reads, “Not available on other consoles until at least 12 months after release date”. This means Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2 players will have to wait for a minimum of one year after the game’s release to get it on their particular hardware.
It is important to note that the footnote about the PS5 console exclusive release does not guarantee an Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2 release. Since there are at least two years before S-GAME can release the game on other consoles, plans can always get delayed or completely scrapped. Soul carries two primary weapons and two secondary weapons. The game will have fast-paced combat featuring various intense action combos. Players will also have to master the art of parrying, dodging, and stealth to defeat enemies. The protagonist will respawn at the last checkpoint after death, but all previously killed enemies will not. However, each death will take away one day from your extended 66 days of life.
