Poker Night at the Inventory is back on Steam after it was delisted from the store seven years ago. This means you can once again walk inside The Inventory, an underground social club, to have a game of Texas Hold’em poker with four iconic characters from different franchises. These are the RED Heavy Weapons Guy, aka The Heavy, from Team Fortress 2 (TF2), Strong Bad from Homestar Runner, Max from Sam & Max, and Tycho Brahe from Penny Arcade. Each character brings a unique personality and dialogue that adds to the fun, but that’s not the only thing to look forward to as you try to call their bluff.
These characters also bring special items to the table that can be won and added to your Team Fortress 2 cosmetics collection. The game also has special tables and cards that can be unlocked. Here is the only Poker Night at the Inventory unlockables guide you need to know what’s at stake and how to claim it.
All Unlockables & How to Get Them in Poker Night at the Inventory

Poker Night at the Inventory unlockables are divided into three categories: Tables, Card decks, and Team Fortress 2 special items. The first two categories include cosmetic items that are usable only in the poker game. The last category has special items that can be redeemed and used in Team Fortress 2 on Steam. It is also the primary reason many chose to play Poker Night at the Inventory when it was originally released in 2010.
Unlock TF2 Special Items in Poker Night at the Inventory
Starting with TF2 special items, there are four items that you can unlock. Each item is tied to a particular character and appears as a collateral offer when they are low on chips. This means you will have to wait until a character is short of money and wagers his special item at the table. Once that happens, make sure to eliminate that character from the game to claim the item.
| Character to Eliminate | Special Item | Skin in TF2 |
| Max | Lugermorph pistol and License to Maim badge (aka Crimestomper Combo) | Weapon skin for the Scout and Engineer’s pistol, and the badge is a freelance police badge that can be worn by any class |
| Tycho | Enthusiast’s Timepiece watch | Skin for Spy’s invisibility watch |
| Heavy | Iron Curtain minigun | Skin for Heavy’s standard minigun |
| Strong Bad | Dangeresque, Too? glasses | Worn by Demoman |

All of these special items are the same as the original Poker Night at the Inventory special items. However, the remastered version items have a “Reissued” label next to their names. This is to distinguish between items unlocked via the original and remastered versions. The good news is that even if you had unlocked these items during the original release, you can still unlock the reissued version of these items.
Skunkape has added a “launch bonus” item, which will be available only to those who buy the remastered version of the game by March 19, 2026. It is a Dealer’s Visor hat that can be worn by The Heavy in TF2.
Unlock Tables and Decks in Poker Night at the Inventory

Players can unlock tables and card decks in Poker Night at the Inventory by winning the required number of tournaments. The majority of these unlockables are merely cosmetic changes for the poker table and card deck, but a few of them also change the way the whole game looks. For example, the original version of the game had an Automata table that added a monochromatic appearance to the whole place.
Skunkape has announced it has added a bunch of new tables and decks to unlock, but did not share exact details. It is also unknown if any of the tablets and decks from the original version have been removed or changed in the remastered release. Players will have to keep playing the game to discover for themselves.
Final Thoughts

Poker Night in the Inventory unlockables are probably among the easiest unlockables in video games. You do not have to grind for endless hours to get any of them. If you are even decently good at playing Texas Hold’em poker, you should not have any major issues in unlocking tables and decks. It is only the TF2 special items that you will need to show extra awareness, as these items do not appear that often as a wager on the table, and that too only if you want to get them at the earliest.
