Well, that’s a pleasant surprise: THQ Nordic has confirmed Reanimal, its co-op horror game that’s comingo to PC (Steam) and consoles, has officially gone gold. This comes as the game is still two months away from its official, February 13, 2026 planned release date.

The game puts you in the control of two siblings — brother and sister — who embark on a mission to rescue their missing friends in a realm of, well, inconceivable horrors. The game boasts several exploration methods, like on foot or by boat, and it’s almost entirely based on solving puzzles amidst several scary moments.

Not that this is unexpected at this time: Reanimal is being developed by the same team behind Little Nightmares, so it’s only natural that some of that experience seeps into the new game, although this is seemingly the only correlation both titles have at the moment.

Anyway, here’s a trailer in case you want to know more of what to expect:

Reanimal will have accommodating prices…sorta

One other cool detail about Reanimal is on the price THQ Nordic plans to put in place for it: the standard edition of the game will charge you $39,99 — which is a much cheaper cost to bear compared to most sixty, seventy bucks pricetag you see on most titles out there. Granted, this is a much smaller-scaled title than, say, Metal Gear Solid Delta or any other major release.

If you do have leftover bucks to spare, the game will feature a Digital Deluxe edition for $59,99, which nets you the main game, its season pass that entails all three planned DLCs and two exclusive masks (Foxhead and Mutton, to be precise).

Now, if you really wanna rub your wallet in anyone’s faces, you can go for the hefty, $199,99 Collector’s Edition, that will have everything from the Digital Deluxe version, plus a Pig Statue made in PVC, a metal key ring, a map poster, an 80-page hardcover artbook, three sticker sheets in what THQ Nordic refers to as a“high-quality collector’s box”.

At any rate, a demo of the game is out for you to test your wits against a scary environment, too. All in all, these all seem like interesting offers.

Reanimal will come out on PC (Windows), PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series S|X.
