Tekken 8 is going strong on its regular updates, and while this is already shaping up to be the best Tekken game in the whole franchise, publisher Namco seems poised for more. Much more.
As the company is gearing up to promote Tekken 8 Season 3, it dropped a new video (and a new thread on X/Twitter) highlighting the season’s next fighters to join the roster as DLC. We already know there will be four of them, but Namco has only revealed three.
It is worth noting that this is the first update made on Tekken 8 after the departure of Katsuhiro Harada. The longtime leader of the Tekken franchise left the brand — and Koei — altogether in December, 2025 and has yet to announce any new ventures (but he is giving consultations on promising indie projects, like this one).

Confirmed Playable Characters and Fighting Styles
The third season of content focuses on a diverse roster of martial artists:
- Kunimitsu: A kunoichi thief who first appeared in the original Tekken. The version appearing in Season 3 is expected to be the second Kunimitsu, who was introduced in Tekken 7. She is scheduled for release in late spring.
- Bob: A martial arts prodigy known for his freestyle karate. Fans can expect his arrival sometime in summer.
- Roger Jr.: Making his Tekken 8 debut, this character is slated to join the roster in fall.
Mystery Character and New Stage
While three characters have been named, a fourth mystery fighter remains under wraps. This character is scheduled to debut in winter alongside a brand-new stage. Bandai Namco has not yet provided specific details regarding the identity or fighting style of this final Season 3 addition.
Season 3 Pass Details and Launch Date
The Tekken 8 Season 3 Pass is scheduled to launch on February 9th or 10th, 2026, depending on your local timezone. Players who purchase the pass will gain access to the following:
- Four DLC characters (Kunimitsu, Bob, Roger Jr., and the mystery guest).
- Extra character costumes for some of the game’s most iconic fighters.
- The new stage releasing in winter.
Platforms and Availability
Tekken 8 and its upcoming Season 3 content are available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. While specific release dates for each individual character have not been finalized, more information is expected as their respective launch windows approach.
