Players will also become eligible to participate in Sword Forge Challenges in the Trial interface. This will give them access to the Moongazing Maiden avatar, Trial: Longing Gaze badge, and Echo Jade, among other items.

Where Winds Meet Moongazing Maiden Location

The Moongazing Maiden boss can be found in the lake at Jade-Mirrored Spring in Hexi’s Liangzhou region. You will spot a large crescent moon resting in the lake. This is your cue for where to go to trigger the Moongazing Maiden boss fight.

Where Winds Meet Moongazing Maiden Boss Fight Tips

The Moongazing Maiden boss fight is divided into two phases, as is the case with most difficult boss fights. Phase 1 is obviously the easier part, but it still requires your undivided attention. The majority of her attacks will feature sword, tail, or a combo of both. This means you will have to read the patterns and understand the timing. Parry is your best friend here, as it will help you gain an advantage as you look to make progress to the second phase. Also, remember to follow the tempo of the fight and do not try to get ahead of yourself.

One lethal attack that you need to be wary of in phase one is Moonfall. It is easy to spot, as Moongazing Maiden triggers this attack when her HP is low. She will fly up in the air and sit on the crescent moon for a while (as part of the cut scene) and eventually bring the moon down using her tail. You need to jump three times when the moon is about to hit the ground to avoid getting killed. Do not get worried if you are unable to dodge this attack in the first few attempts. Pay attention to the timing of when it hits the ground, and you will manage to overcome it.

The second phase will begin with Moongazing Maiden levitating in the air and filling the ground with lightning. The only empty and safe space is right beneath her. This means the only way you can survive this attack is by moving into that space quickly. The good thing is that you will see a key prompt that you need to press to make that move as quickly as possible. Parrying plays a crucial role in phase 2 as well, but you will need to be better than before to dodge attacks this time.

As it usually happens in the second phase, Moongazing Maiden will become a lot more aggressive and quicker with her attacks. This means less breathing space in between those attacks. You will need to be on your toes all the time, parrying attacks one after another and grabbing every opportunity that you get to inflict damage on her.

The Moongazing Maiden boss fight in Where Winds Meet is meant to test your fighting and defending skills, as well as your attention and patience level. This is the reason you should not get frustrated even if it takes more attempts than your expectations. If it has been a while, it is always a good thing to take a break and return to the fight with a fresh mind. Focus on learning and remembering her attack patterns and timings in the first few attempts. The quicker you do this, the easier it will be to defeat her.
