Xbox Game Pass is kicking off 2026 with the intention of washing off that bad 2025 taste it gave players last year. According to a new blog post on Xbox Wire, the service’s January update has brought in some heavyweight in order to keep players occupied for hours on end or, at the very least, have a chance to try some great releases from previous years that they couldn’t before.
As usual, offers are made by specific tiers, with the more expensive payment plans getting the best games. However, unlike certain competitors, the Xbox Game Pass January update is going some lengths to make sure that even lesser offers are cool offers. Read on to find out what you`re getting this month.

Xbox Game Pass — January, 2026 update
- January 6: Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition (Cloud, PC, and Series X/S for Premium and up).
- January 7: A big drop for the Premium tier featuring Atomfall, Rematch, Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition.
- January 8: Final Fantasy (Cloud, PC, and Series X/S for Premium and up).
- January 13: Star Wars: Outlaws (Ultimate and PC Game Pass).
- January 15: My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery.
- January 20: Resident Evil Village (Premium and up) and the day-one debut of MIO: Memories in Orbit (Ultimate and PC Game Pass).
January will also let go of a few games on Game Pass
It’s not all good news, though. As the new games move in, five titles are packing their bags on January 15.
The biggest loss is arguably the deck-building speedrun shooter Neon White, followed by Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Road 96, The Ascent, and The Grinch Christmas Adventures.
