Xbox has revealed the remaining video games that will complete the Xbox Game Pass September 2025 lineup. The Wave 2 update will bring 13 new video games, including a few titles that are returning to the subscription service. These games are in addition to the ones revealed earlier this month as part of the Wave 1 announcement. As it happens with each update, some titles will leave the service this month that we will talk about later in this coverage.
Xbox Game Pass September 2025 Wave 2: New Games
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is one of the biggest names joining Xbox Game Pass as part of the September 2025 Wave 2 lineup. The game was released in 2023 and is the third installment in the rebooted Modern Warfare series. Its storyline pits Captain Price and Task Force 141 against an ultranationalist war criminal, Vladimir Makarov. The title is further packed with various online and offline modes that you can play once you complete the story campaign.

New Games Coming to Xbox Game Pass Core
Xbox has further revealed three new video games that will join Xbox Game Pass Core, its cheapest subscription tier. These include Cities: Skylines – Remastered, Disney Dreamlight Valley, and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. Subscribers will be able to access these new titles starting October 1.

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass
Four video games are set to leave Xbox Game Pass on September 30. Three of these are part of the Ninja Gaiden franchise, which could be disappointing for the fans.
