GRYPHLINE’s Arknights: Endfield has been on a steady rollout of teasers, hinting at short-, mid-, and long-term content plans. One area where things have felt a bit unclear, however, is the introduction of new characters.
It is not that new operators are not coming. The issue is that GRYPHLINE has shared very little concrete information about them. Considering that new characters usually arrive with fresh banners and often tie into main story or side story updates, the silence has understandably left some fans restless.
That feeling makes sense. The last major character update came on January 22, around the game’s launch, introducing the heat-based sword striker Laevatain, a six-star operator who fits comfortably into most team compositions. Shortly after, players received arts unit bearer and Nature-element wielder Gilberta. Since then, though, news has slowed, and for a gacha title competing with heavyweights like Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves, steady character releases are part of staying relevant.
The good news is that there is information out there. We took a closer look at everything officially confirmed so far about upcoming Arknights: Endfield characters. Here is what we found, and whether the game still feels worth your time.
All Upcoming Characters on Arknights: Endfield
Yvonne
Release Date: February 24, 2026 – March 13, 2026
Yvonne is the next featured 6-star operator, scheduled to debut today in the Phase 3 banner titled “Hues of Passion”. A Cryo-element Caster affiliated with Endfield Industries, she marks the final major character release of Version 1.0. Her signature weapon, Artzy Tyrannical, will also be available on the same date, as well as the accompanying “Graffiti Issue” weapon banner.
Tangtang
Release Date: March 13, 2026 – March 29, 2026 (Estimated)
Confirmed during the 1.0 Global Release livestream, Tangtang is the first brand-new operator scheduled to arrive after the conclusion of Version 1.0. While her exact start date is still awaiting official confirmation, she is expected to headline the first banner of Version 1.1. Tangtang is a Handcannon user who plays a significant role in the story updates following the game’s launch.
Mi Fu
Release Date: Future Update (TBA)
Mi Fu was officially teased in promotional materials during the Version 1.0 release livestream. While her specific element and class details are still under wraps, she is confirmed as part of the future character pipeline and is expected to become playable in the versions following Tangtang’s debut.
Zhuang Fangyi
Release Date: Future Update (TBA)
Alongside Mi Fu, Zhuang Fangyi has been presented as a future addition to the Endfield roster. She appeared in official teaser images during the launch broadcast, signaling her arrival in upcoming version updates later in 2026.
Rossi
Release Date: Future Update (TBA)
Rossi completes the trio of named characters currently teased for future release. Like Mi Fu and Zhuang Fangyi, Rossi is slated for a future version update post-Version 1.1, ensuring a steady stream of new talent for players to recruit as the exploration of Talos-II continues.
Unknown Silhouetted Characters
Besides all of the names above, GRYPHLINE has also teased two new characters — one male, one female — through darkened silhouettes that tell us, well, nothing about them. It is safe to assume they’re both gonna come out at a much later update, probably after the ones you saw above.
Arknights: Endfield is available as a free-to-play game (although microtransactions apply here and there) on PlayStation 5, Windows (via official site or Epic Games Store), Apple and Android devices.
