Hypergryph is on the cusp of releasing Arknights: Endfield, the action RPG gacha title that’s a spin off from the original Arknights title from 2019.

After months of anticipation and a delay last year, the game classic tower defense roots into a massive gacha experience that rivals some of the biggest names in the genre, like Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves or, more recently, Where Winds Meet.

Whether you are a veteran of the original game or a newcomer looking for a fresh sci-fi adventure, here is everything you need to know before launch.

The wait for the next evolution of the Arknights universe is almost over. Arknights: Endfield, the highly anticipated 3D spin-off from Hypergryph, is set to transport players to the rugged frontiers of Talos-II. Moving away from traditional tower defense, this title offers a massive world where you, as the Endministrator, must lead Endfield Industries to rebuild a planet while battling forces that control the mysterious Aether (ironically, that’s the name of the male main character in Genshin Impact).

Whether you’re planning your pulls or setting your alarm for launch, here is the definitive guide to everything you need to know.

Mastering the Gacha: The Pity System Explained

Endfield introduces a sophisticated gacha system that differs significantly from the original Arknights. It uses separate systems for Operators (characters) and weapons, each with its own “pity” safety nets to ensure you don’t go home empty-handed.

Character Banners (Operators)

Pulling for characters requires a currency called Oroberyl, with a single pull costing 500 and a 10-pull costing 5,000.

  • Soft Pity (65+ Pulls): After 65 pulls without a 6-Star, your odds increase by 5% with every additional pull.
  • Hard Pity (80 Pulls): You are guaranteed a 6-Star Operator by your 80th pull. This features a 50/50 system, where you have a 50% chance of getting the limited featured character.
  • The 120-Pull Safety Net: This is the ultimate guarantee. At 120 pulls, you are 100% guaranteed the featured limited character. Note: This specific 120-pull guarantee does not carry over to the next banner.
  • Carry Over: Most character pity (the 10-pull 5-star guarantee and the 80-pull hard pity) does carry over between banners, allowing you to build progress over time.

Weapon Banners (The Arsenal)

The weapon system is unique because it uses Arsenal Tickets. You primarily earn these by pulling characters: a 6-Star Operator grants 2,000 tickets, while a 5-Star grants 200.

  • Better Rates: Weapons have a 4% base rate for 6-Stars, which is much higher than the 0.8% for characters.
  • Weapon Pity: You are guaranteed a 6-Star weapon every 40 pulls (though it only has a 25% chance of being the featured one).
  • No Carry Over: Unlike characters, weapon pity does not carry over between banners. If you don’t hit your goal before the banner ends, your progress resets to zero.

Meet the Team: Characters and Voice Talent

Hypergryph has tapped some serious talent to bring the cast of Talos-II to life. You will choose between a Male or Female Endministrator at the start of the game.

The Protagonists

  • Female Endministrator: Voiced by Azusa Tachibana (Japanese), known for Dandadan, and Georgina Jane (English), the voice of Mother Sphere in Stellar Blade.
  • Male Endministrator: Voiced by Takuya Tsuda (Japanese), who has appeared in Blue Box and Insomniacs After School.

Key Allies and Villains

  • Perlica: Your supervisor on Talos-II, voiced in English by Elsie Lovecock (Lucy in Zenless Zone Zero).
  • Andre: A giant owl engineer voiced by Murray McArthur, a veteran of Game of Thrones and The Rings of Power.
  • Nefarith: A primary antagonist in the early chapters, voiced by Jess Nesling (Baldur’s Gate 3).
  • Director Qin: An important NPC voiced by Isabella Inchbald.

Launch Season Schedule and Special Events

The launch window is packed with limited-time opportunities to grow your roster.
