EA and Battlefield Studios have officially claimed their Battlefield 6 anti-cheat system has been a huge success. It announced via a blog post as part of the Season 1 anti-cheat update that 98% of matches were cheater-free. The studio’s anti-cheat system is called EA Javelin and appears to be handling the task at hand exceptionally well.
The blog post revealed Javelin blocked over 1.2 million cheat attempts during the Open Beta phase alone. The studio even banned some “over-confident cheaters” who were live-streaming their cheats. It helped the team boost the fair-match rate from 93.1% to approximately 98% by the final day of the open beta. The Secure Boot adoption has also increased from a measely 62.5% to an impressive 92.5%. However, there are still about 1.5% of people who cannot get Secure Boot activated on their PCs.
Since the launch of Battlefield 6, 2.39 million cheat attempts have been blocked. EA said it is aware of around 190 cheat-related programs, hardware, vendors, resellers, and their communities. It added, “Since launch, 183 of them (96.3%) have announced feature failures, detection notices, downtime, and/or taken their cheats offline entirely”.
These are undoubtedly impressive numbers for the Battlefield 6 anti-cheat system. We all know how cheaters can ruin a fun match with your friends or even random players. EA says it understands the battle against cheaters is a never-ending one, as they will keep testing the defenses. It is the reason the team consistently monitors new threat attacks and keeps improving anti-cheat measures. This includes exploring more OS security features, improving report flows, and improving internal operations tools among others.
Battlefield 6 has various modes for players to choose from, as per their taste and time availability. It also unveiled Casual Breakthrough mode last month, aimed at those who are looking for casual gameplay. This mode offers a combination of real human players and AI bots. It is particularly beneficial for those who are new to the Battlefield 6 experience.
