Sandfall Interactive has officially confirmed it is working on a Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 free update. The special update will be packed with a lot of new content, including environments, boss battles, costumes, and more. The studio made the announcement while thanking players for helping the game reach an impressive sales milestone of 5 million.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Free Update: What’s Coming?
Since the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 free update is currently under development, the studio did not go into details about what to expect. It only shared a glimpse of new content and features as and when the update is released worldwide. Players will get new playable environments to explore, along with new enemies and surprises waiting to be discovered.
The update will feature new boss battles for “late-game players”. One of the special things about role-playing games (RPGs) is the ability to customize and personalize characters as per one’s preference. The upcoming update is confirmed to offer new costumes for each member of the Expedition. This will result in even more vast customization options.
Players will get new text and UI game localization options in Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian. The team says it has more features and changes in the pipeline that will likely be revealed closer to the update launch.
Sandfall Interactive released Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 in April 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and cloud gaming. It proved to be an instant hit among RPG fans and, as a result, has managed to sell over 5 million copies within just five months.
