Square Enix announced recently that several beloved Final Fantasy titles will be released as physical editions in the Americas for the very first time this December. Fans of the 35-year-old franchise can start pre-ordering these collector’s items now through the publisher’s own digital store.

The release covers some of the series’ most iconic adventures for both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, giving players who prefer a physical library a chance to own these classics.

The highly anticipated releases include:

Game Platform Release Date Price
FINAL FANTASY VII (Original) + VIII Remastered Twin Pack Nintendo Switch Dec. 9, 2025 $39.99
FINAL FANTASY IX Nintendo Switch Dec. 9, 2025 $39.99
FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE & REBIRTH Twin Pack PlayStation 5 Dec. 4, 2025 $59.99

The Switch releases offer players the chance to revisit Cloud Strife’s journey in the seventh game and join Squall Leonhart and Rinoa Heartilly in the eight game’s remastered version. Meanwhile, game number 9 will also be available physically, letting fans dive back into the story of Zidane Tribal and Princess Garnet.

For PlayStation 5 owners, the twin pack featuring Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and the continuation of the saga in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will bring the modern-day retelling of the group’s Midgar escape and the following journey that led to their cat-and-mouse game against Sephiroth and that unnecessarily long…sword.

So hey, Mikhail will get yet another chance to play something he never played before…
