If 20 years of journalism have taught me anything, it’s to avoid “leaker intel” by the end of the year. But not all of them, as some might prove reliable. Such seems to be the case with “Loolo_WRLD” who, in a single post on X, claims there’s a new game mode coming for Fortnite, in collaboration with none other than Warner Bros.
Now, the info itself is pretty slim: according to the leak, the new “Fortnite and Warner” mode will feature full ranked support, with the first ranked season running until March 2026. Not only that, but some new physics-based features (including a “tackle”, which we can’t tell if its a new player mechanic or something else) will be present as well.
Now, according to the information available, Fortnite’s new game mode should come around in early December, so we likely won’t have to wait too much to know if all of this is true or not.
Having said that, it wouldn’t be at all surprising if this Fortnite leak proves true: Epic Games, the game’s publisher, is constantly creating new stuff — be it content, crossovers, collaborations or, you guessed it, game modes — in order to keep the fanbase playing with fresh features. And considering the game originally came out in 2017, one could say they got pretty good at it, too.

Still, I’ll believe it when I see it: I’m not much of a Fortnite player myself, but even I know how much the brand has evolved into an self-contained industry of its own, which includes not only the game, but its internal currency, gift cards, physical loot boxes, events, eSports tournaments and everything in between. So it might be worth keeping an eye on this if you’re a fan.
