Sony has updated its game listing of Warhorse Studios’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance, originally launched in 2018, is bound to receive an upgrade for the PlayStation 5.
The info was first spotted by the fine folk at Insider Gaming, who reports that the updated product description, discovered Wednesday, indicates that the enhancement will be released “soon” and will bring significant graphical improvements to the nearly eight-year-old title. According to the PlayStation Store, the PS5 version will feature 4K resolution, a boosted framerate, and high-resolution textures.
This revelation aligns with industry rumors that surfaced in October 2025, which suggested a current-gen overhaul would emerge in early 2026. While the leak specifically highlights the Sony console, industry experts anticipate the upgrade will also be made available for Xbox platforms.
The upgrade follows the successful launch of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II last year. Developed by Warhorse Studios, the sequel was praised for its cinematic storytelling and authentic combat, building upon the foundations of the original game that began as a Kickstarter project.
The original title immerses players in the world of medieval Bohemia. While the upcoming update is expected to be a standard graphical upgrade rather than a full re-release, it is designed to modernize the experience for players looking to revisit the story or prepare for the sequel.
Warhorse Studios has not yet officially announced a specific release date for the patch, though the updated store page suggests an official reveal may be imminent.
