Nioh 3 is an upcoming action RPG that will be the third release in the Nioh series. Its events will take place right after the events of Nioh (2017) and Nioh 2 (2020). Its story is set in 1622, where our protagonist Tokugawa Takechiyo is on the verge of becoming Edo Castle’s next shogun. His younger brother, Tokugawa Kunimatsu, gets jealous of Takechiyo’s success and leans towards dark forces. The game will offer both Samurai and Ninja combat systems.

Resident Evil Requiem is touted to be the most immersive entry in the Resident Evil series. The game will offer both survival horror and combat-focused approaches. Its events will take place in the same Raccoon City that we first saw in Resident Evil 2. Players will get to switch between the two characters as they look to unravel new Umbrella Corp. mysteries.

007 First Light is an upcoming action-adventure video game based on the iconic James Bond franchise. It will tell a new and standalone, re-imagined James Bond origin story. It will put us in the shoes of a young and inexperienced MI6 agent, James Bond. He must complete a mission to pursue a rogue agent and earn his 00 status. The game will have various locations around the world, amazing gadgets, and weapons for you to use and explore.

Phantom Blade Zero
Phantom Blade Zero is one of the most anticipated games of 2026. It is a Wuxia action RPG by S-Game where we will get to play as an elite assassin named Soul. He has pledged his services to an elusive and powerful organization called The Order. Our protagonist gets framed for the murder of The Order’s patriarch. He gets severely injured in a manhunt but is saved by a mystic healer’s cure. However, he only has 66 days to live and find the true mastermind behind the conspiracy.

GTA 6
Grand Theft Auto 6, aka GTA 6, is undoubtedly at the top of the most anticipated games of 2026. It was originally set to release in 2025, but was delayed until May 2026. It has now been delayed once and is expected to arrive in November 2026. It is the eighth main game in the GTA series and set in a fictional U.S. state named Leonida (inspired by Florida). It will feature dual protagonists, Jason and Lucia, who will find themselves in the middle of a criminal conspiracy. Since it is a GTA game, you will also get a vast open world to roam around.

Control Resonant
Control Resonant is an upcoming sequel to Remedy’s Control, released in 2019. It will expand the lore of the Control universe and will have Dylan Faden as the main protagonist. He is the younger brother of FBC Director Jesse Faden and appeared as a side character in Control. He will have new abilities and a shape-shifting melee weapon called Aberrant. His objective is to find his sister Jesse while taking on ever-growing supernatural entities and threats.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is an upcoming reimagined take on the original and first Tomb Raider game released in 1996. It will be released next year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the title that kicked off Lara Croft’s adventures across the world. The new version is built from scratch on Unreal Engine 5 and is touted to deliver modern game design, overhauled visuals, and new surprises. It is the result of a collaboration between Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog.

Marvel’s Wolverine
Marvel’s Wolverine is the next Marvel superhero video game from Insomniac Games, the same studio that has released three Spider-Man games so far. The story will have Logan, aka Wolverine, on the hunt to uncover the secrets of a dark past that keeps eluding him.

Forza Horizon 6
Forza Horizon 6 is the next open-world racing video game in the popular Forza series. The game’s world will be set in the beautiful country of Japan. The studio has not revealed many details yet, but said players will have to build their racing status to become a legend at the Horizon Festival. The game will arrive on Xbox consoles and Windows first and later on PlayStation 5.
