Like most character-driven RPGs, NTE (Neverness to Everness) quickly becomes a game of figuring out which units are actually worth investing your time and resources into. Some characters dominate nearly every type of content, while others are more niche picks that work best in specific team setups or situations.
With the current roster, a handful of characters have already separated themselves from the pack thanks to their overall utility, damage output, consistency, and flexibility across different encounters. Here’s the current NTE character tier list, ranking every available character from S+ to C Tier.
S+ Tier
- Sakiri: She sits at the top of the meta thanks to her incredible consistency and overall impact. Sakiri performs exceptionally well in nearly every situation, making her one of the safest and strongest investments in the game right now.
- Nanally: She combines strong scaling with reliable performance, allowing her to remain effective throughout both early progression and harder endgame content. Nanally is one of the most dependable characters currently available.
- Chiz: This character stands out because of strong offensive pressure and excellent versatility. Whether players need consistent damage or a reliable core unit, Chiz remains one of the strongest all-around options in NTE.
- Hotori: One of the newer additions to the roster, she has already entered top-tier conversations. Early impressions suggest Hotori brings exceptional value and enough power to compete directly with the strongest units in the game.
S Tier
- Baicang: While she may not completely dominate the meta like the S+ characters, Baicang remains an incredibly strong unit capable of fitting into a wide range of teams without much trouble.
- Haniel: She offers a strong balance between utility and performance, making Haniel a dependable pick for players who want flexibility without sacrificing too much effectiveness.
- Jiuyuan: This character delivers consistently strong performances across most content types. Even if Jiuyuan doesn’t overwhelm in one specific category, the overall reliability makes the character a valuable long-term option.

As with most live-service and gacha-style games, the NTE meta will continue to shift as new characters, balance changes, and updates arrive. A lower-tier character today could easily become much stronger after future patches or new team synergies are introduced.
Still, if you’re looking for the safest characters to build right now, the S+ tier remains the best place to start. Characters like Sakiri, Nanally, Chiz, and Hotori currently offer the strongest overall value and should comfortably carry players through most of the game’s current content.
