We’re somewhat close to finding out which games will be “freely” offered on PlayStation Plus in November, 2025, but while no confirmation has been made, one of those titles might’ve leaked earlier than Sony wanted: Stray, at least according to leaker “billbil-kun” from Dealabs, might make a comeback to the marketplace.

Stray, as you know, is one of Annapurna Interactive and Blue Twelve Studios’ most well-known games, originally coming out in July 2022, as a day-one release for the PlayStation Plus Extra tier. It features a cat wandering in a post-apocalyptic world where mankind is sort of not around, having been replaced by robots who, themselves, managed to create some type of consciousness and self awareness, interacting in many ways we do today.

The game made thunderous success when it came out, given the independent nature of its development (the team had a cat, an honest to God cat, for crying out loud!), attaining an 85/80 score on Opencritic, between critic and user reviews.

Stray stood firm for a whole year before getting pulled out of Sony’s digital store (although still available as a standalone purchase at $29.99), but now, if the leak’s to be believed, it seems the game will return to PlayStation Plus on its November 2025 update — the first out of three freebies you get with a paid subscription.

By the way, you can still grab this month’s offer — Alan Wake 2, Goat Simulator 3, and Coccon — and here’s a detailed breakdown of the store’s prices and available plans, just in case you’re in the market for new options: you can even buy gift cards to accumulate the funds necessary to subscribe.

As for the Stray rumor, we won’t have to wait for long: Sony will reveal the PlayStation Plus November 2025 updates on October 29, so not only the return of the cat will be confirmed or denied, but we’ll also know what the two other games are.
