The much-awaited Battlefield 6 Battle Royale mode i.e. Battlefield REDSEC is finally here. EA has launched it alongside the Battlefield 6 Season 1 and Battle Pass. It is a free-to-play which means you can enjoy Battlefield REDSEC even if you have not purchased Battlefield 6 yet. Battle Royale is undoubtedly the highlight of REDSEC, but it also introduces two new modes: Gauntlet and Portal. Here is everything you need to know to get started.
Battlefield REDSEC Battle Royale
Battle Royale is the main mode available with Battlefield REDSEC. It supports up to 100 players in a match who are divided into Squads or Duos. A squad can have up to four players each and a duo can have up to two players each. This means there is no Solo option yet and you will have either up to 25 or 50 teams depending on how you choose to play.
Each Battle Royale match takes place in Fort Lyndon, a location is Southern California and officially described as “Battlefield’s biggest map ever”. The map has a destructive environment that will help players strategize different approaches to boos their chances of victory. There will also be opportunities to loot better weapons as you keep moving forward and take down enemies.

There will be a wide variety of vehicles for players to use. The omnipresent and continuously shrinking ring of fire is here because, let’s be honest, it would not be a Battlefield Battle Royale without it. It will be an instant death for the player if they are caught in the fire ring.
Battlefield REDSEC Battle Royale has four character classes: Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon. You can choose your class and a sidearm at the beginning of a match. The mode supports custom loadouts, but you will either have to complete specific missions or wait for limited global drop events to build one. The latter is a riskier option as there will be multiple squads in hunt for those limited global drops.
Battlefield REDSEC Gauntlet
Gauntlet is a new mode introduced in REDSEC and described as a “cutthroat, knockout-style, fast-paced elimination experience”. It will feature only eight squads of four players each in a match. These squads will go head-to-head in a series of special operations for the ultimate glory. It has a tournament-like format where each round will last for 5 minutes and offer a new challenge.
In other words, Gauntlet is an intense and fast-paced mode that will keep players on their toes all the time. They will have to adapt and showcase quick-thinking alongside teamwork to increase their chances of a win.
Battlefield REDSEC Portal
EA first introduced Portal with Battlefield 2042 with focus on community creations. The same mode is now also available with Battlefield REDSEC. It will allow players to create their custom rules and challenges for a unique gameplay experience. The mode has plenty of customization tools to ensure you get a challenge that is different from what you have faced so far.

How to Download Battlefield REDSEC?
Battlefield REDSEC is available as a free update to all players who already have Battlefield 6.
