The Radiant Wilds update has brought a visual overhaul to all biomes in Albion Online. Players will instantly notice better lighting, enhanced ground textures, richer vegetation, and completely reworked water visuals. Each biome will look different with its unique identity and appearance.

You will notice light reflecting from snow, sand, and water. Rivers, lakes, and coastlines will now reflect sky, clouds, and sunlight more naturally. The team has also worked on adding environmental details, such as airborne foliage and insects, to better match their surroundings. In terms of ground textures, players will now see sandy dunes, muddy marshes, and mossy undergrowth.

Sandbox Interactive has delivered a number of performance improvements with the Albion Online Radiant Wilds update. The team has improved stability and responsiveness, even during those big battles.

It has achieved this through several client and network optimizations that reduce performance stutter. Players can now check their connection health through the packet loss indicator in the performance monitor HUD.

Get Updated Equipment Build Recommendations with Armory

Albion Online has now received a new gameplay feature called Armory. It will help and make it easier for players to discover the most effective equipment build based on the real gameplay data. The team says Armory will continuously evaluate this data to recommend effective builds based on current trends. Players will be able to browse builds based on equipment and activity type.

They will also be able to check recommended spells and consumables. Armory can be used to check alternative variations that suit their budget and preferences the best. And yes, Albion Online has finally received full controller support. This includes a dedicated controller HUD, a full-screen main menu, customizable radial menus, and better targeting and combat controls.

New 1v1 Arena and Map for Fresh Gameplay

Radiant Wilds adds a new 1v1 Arena, a new ranked PvP mode focused on one-on-one combat. It is currently a limited-time mode and will be available for the whole duration of Season 32. Players will be able to enter matches in this mode via the Arena Master.

Each match will follow a best-of-three format. Overtime will begin if a round goes on for too long, and a poisonous gas will gradually force engagement. This mode will have its own ranked progression that will be separate from the 5v5 ranked progression.

This brings us to the point that 5v5 Arena now has a new Crystal Arena map. It will have different flanking routes and chokepoints that will result in players experimenting with new strategies. You can read about every change in detail, and the complete list of changes in the official changelog.
