ARC Raiders has rolled out Patch 1.28.0, introducing a new trader, additional gear, gameplay adjustments, and several quality-of-life improvements. The update also expands Speranza with the arrival of a new faction presence, giving players fresh opportunities to gear up before heading back into the field.
According to the latest update notes, the long-rumored Nomadic Envoys have finally arrived in Speranza. After avoiding life underground for years, the mysterious travelers are now making appearances while searching for valuable equipment and weapons.
Leading that addition is Ermal, a brand-new trader joining the game. Players can visit him for unique deals and gear offerings that are not available through existing traders. The update also introduces a new weapon called Rascal, giving Raiders another combat option to experiment with. Weapon customization sees a small expansion as well with the arrival of the Extended Barrel mod improvement.
Outside of combat equipment, Patch 1.28.0 adds several cosmetic additions. Players can now get access to the Sandveil Set, while a new Sideburns facial hair style has also been added. Embark Studios also confirmed that The Sheath Set will become available beginning on June 2.
Several gameplay systems have also been adjusted in this update. One of the more noticeable changes affects the Photoelectric Cloak, with its power cost reduced from 10 per second to 5 per second, making the ability less demanding during use.
The patch also introduces weapon durability changes, though exact values were not detailed in the overview. Enemy behavior has also received attention. The Queen and Matriarch enemies will now step over obstacles more often instead of pushing through them, reducing situations where players experience sudden or unfair knockback during encounters.
Patch 1.28.0 also includes a number of fixes and player-focused improvements:
- Fixed an issue causing players to be teleported while standing on destroyed ARC parts
- Added an option allowing players to block users after submitting reports
- Included an update related to security and anti-cheat systems
With a new trader arriving in Speranza and additional gear entering the loot pool, Patch 1.28.0 gives ARC Raiders players more reasons to head back out and start scavenging.
