Dune: Awakening's Water Wars DLC is Now Live - Here's Everything New

Players diving back into Dune: Awakening have something new to explore today, as the Water Wars DLC has officially launched alongside Update 1.4. The new content pack expands customization options with a collection of Water Shipper-inspired items, while the accompanying free update introduces additional locations and new activities for players across Arrakis.

The Water Wars DLC centers around the Water Shippers, the dynasty responsible for controlling Arrakis’ water economy. Its content focuses heavily on themed construction pieces and cosmetic additions, giving players more ways to personalize both their characters and their bases.

The DLC introduces 52 Water Shipper building pieces, allowing players to create structures built around the faction’s visual style. On top of that, players also gain access to 18 decoration items, opening up more options for interior and exterior customization.

Character customization also receives a sizable boost through several themed equipment variants. The DLC includes:

  • Water Shippers Stillsuit Variant Set
  • Water Shippers Light Armor Variant Set
  • Water Shippers Heavy Armor Variant Set
  • Water Shippers weapon variants featuring one melee weapon and one ranged weapon
  • Water Shippers Scout Ornithopter Variant
  • Water Shippers Swatch
  • Two Water Shippers emotes

The release also marks the completion of the game’s current Season Pass content lineup. Players who purchased the Deluxe Edition or Ultimate Edition already receive access through the included Season Pass, while the DLC can also be purchased separately for $9.99. The Season Pass itself remains available for $24.99 / €24.99.

Outside of the paid content, Update 1.4 arrives as a free update for all players and adds two new locations along with new Landsraad missions, giving returning players fresh objectives across Arrakis.

With the Water Wars DLC now available, players have another reason to head back into Dune: Awakening, especially those looking to expand their settlements and give their gear a distinctly Water Shipper look.
