Assassin’s Creed Mirage Free DLC: New Content, Gameplay, and More

Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory will bring up to six hours of additional gameplay. The expansion pack will take our protagonist, Basim, to the ancient city of AlUla in search of his lost father. In terms of timeline, DLC’s events will take place before the grand finale of the main game.

Players will have a completely new region and map to explore. It will feature new main missions, assassin targets, side quests, challenges, and more. While searching for his father, Basim will discover that the region is in the grip of a “dangerous band of robbers.”

Valley of Memory DLC will feature replayable missions and challenges. The replayability will offer unique challenges, so you have to re-strategise your approach. It may require you to complete the mission by avoiding the use of Eagle Vision, killing only the main target, or completing it in a specified amount of time. Missions and challenges can be replayed via the Animus Sequences section or directly within the world. Players will get exclusive in-game rewards for completing these unique challenges.

The team has made changes to the parkour mechanism in the Assassin’s Creed Mirage free DLC. Players can now choose to turn on the ability to jump manually. There is a new control scheme that makes jumping from one rooftop to another a lot smoother. The update further adds the ability to customize side and back ejects.

Players will get a new Engineer 2 skill in the skill tree of Basim. A new level 3 modification has been added to all the tools. Last but not least, the team has added two new difficulty levels for those who want to customize the challenge level a bit more.

For the uninformed, Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed Mirage in October 2023. The game was originally supposed to be an expansion pack for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (2020). However, it was later decided to release it as a stand-alone game in the franchise. The game was then ported to iOS and iPadOS devices in 2024.
