Forza Horizon 6 brings the longtime racing game brand to the diverse landscapes of Japan, introducing a new Treasure Car feature where players must physically track down nine unique vehicles hidden across the map.
These cars are completely exclusive and cannot be purchased through the Autoshow or unlocked via the standard Festival Playlist, making them some of the most prestigious rewards for explorers.
And, of course, among these elite cars, there’s always the elite of the elite, so to speak. In this case, the 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale is one of the most sought-after models in the game due to its historical rally pedigree and its high approximate value of 680,000 Credits.
And we’ll tell you how to get it below.
How Can You Get the Lancia Stratos HF Stradale

The process for acquiring a Treasure Car differs significantly from the traditional Barn Finds seen in previous titles.
Most notably, you do not need to grind for a specific “Discover Japan” level to start your search: the Stratos is available for collection from the moment you begin exploring the Sotoyama region.
As is the case with any other Treasure Car, you’ll need to drive around the region—including the most hard-to-reach spots—to find the Stratos. Luckily, the process is very easy: whenever you’re in the vicinity of a Treasure Car, you will begin receiving cues from Mei, who will contact you on the radio to chime in about “an abandoned car” alongside some area hints that you can use to pinpoint its exact location. These details will also be added on your Treasure Cars menu under the “Cars” tab.
Once you physically reach the vehicle, a simple button prompt will show, allowing you to nab the 4-wheeled rarity and add it to your collection. You can send it to your garage for free or just get out of there driving it.
Where to Find the Lancia Stratos HF Stradale

Now that you’re familiar with the mechanics of the Treasury Cars, it’s time to go out there and find the Stratos, which can be somewhat challenging, given the topography of the Sotoyama region—it’s heavily covered in snow, so visual clues given by Mei can be tough to distinguish at first glance.
The 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale is hidden halfway up the mountain along the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. To find it, start at the Hakusan Mountain Lodge player home and drive west along the pass. You will pass the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route Speed Zone; continue following the road west and keep an eye out for a large light brown building or wooden cabin on your right-hand side. The Lancia Stratos is parked directly beside this building.
For more precise navigation, the car sits just down the hill from the Off Piste Wristband Event. If you have trouble spotting it in the snowy terrain, you can use Drone Mode to scan the area and pinpoint its exact location much faster than you could by driving.
Final Thoughts

The Lancia Stratos HF Stradale is an essential find for any serious collector, but it is just one among several other Treasure Car models scattered throughout Japan.
There are exactly nine of these vehicles in total—one for each region—including other rare finds like the 1991 Nissan Figaro in Tokyo City and the 1985 Nissan Safari Turbo in the Ito region.
Collecting all nine will not only complete your rare car collection but will also earn you a unique in-game badge for your player card and a platform-specific achievement. But we got that covered for you as well: here’s a table with general directions for each model available.
Forza Horizon 6 is available for purchase on Windows, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
