So, the PlayStation State of Play event for February 2026 happened earlier today and, wow, it’s a lot. A lot of cool stuff, we mean. We did some degree of guesswork in order to think about what was coming at the beginning of the week, but it is safe to say that Sony may have outdone itself — a lot of announcements from major brands, some interesting new IPs, news for the PlayStation Plus service…after a long string of misfires, the PlayStation maker really shone bright.
There’s not much we can say about the whole thing besides telling you exactly what was shown — and we mean EVERYTHING, so brace yourself, because like we said: it’s a lot — 32 announcements, to be precise. I finished this article on Google Docs, without any media pasted, and it broke the 10-page mark.
Granted, we won’t cover them all because some things were no bigger than common, run-of-the-mill updates, but the very first video you see in this article is the actual, full, hour-long stream, so anything we missed here, you can get through that.
So, without further ado, here are all State of Play announcements:
State of Play February 2026: All the Big Reveals
God of War
Release Date: Out Now (Sons of Sparta); Early Dev (Trilogy Remake) | Platforms: PS5
Santa Monica Studio delivered the most high-profile segment of the PlayStation State of Play event, confirming that a remake of the original God of War trilogy is currently in early development. This project aims to bring Kratos’ legendary journey through ancient Greece to modern hardware with updated visuals and gameplay for a new generation.
In a massive surprise for fans, the studio also shadow-dropped God of War Sons of Sparta, a 2D action-platformer that is available today. Developed with Mega Cat Studios, the game explores Kratos’ youth during his training at the Agoge and features the return of TC Carson as the narrator.
John Wick

Saber Interactive is collaborating directly with the movie franchise’s creators and Keanu Reeves to bring an original AAA John Wick game to life. This title occupies a specific period in the existing timeline and allows players to embody the “Baba Yaga” in a high-stakes interactive experience.

Silent Hill: Townfall

We’ve talked about this one earlier this week: Konami and Screen Burn Interactive revealed a bold new direction for the franchise with a first-person perspective designed for visceral, nerve-wracking horror. The story follows protagonist Simon Ordell as he explores a new town filled with horrific enemies and story-driven puzzles.
Central to the gameplay is the “CRTV,” an evolution of the series’ iconic radio that allows players to “see” through environments and tune into cryptic story broadcasts. Players must balance visceral combat with a strategic stealth and peek system, as enemies will dynamically hunt the player if they draw too much attention.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2

Konami’s second major collection brings the legendary Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (while this is no remake, it’s awesome to see Old Snake back in the spotlight) to modern platforms for the first time. The package also includes Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and the series’ first handheld title, Metal Gear: Ghost Babel, as a special bonus.
This volume features various quality-of-life improvements, including customizable button controls and enhanced internal resolutions for MGS4. Long-time fans can also enjoy scenario books and digital soundtracks that offer deeper insight into the complex lore of the franchise.
Resident Evil Requiem

Ghost of Yōtei Legends

The State of Play February 2026 event also show some love for the PlayStation Plus subscribers, revealing a series of updates that include the day-one launch of the co-op puzzler Big Walk later this year. New classic titles were also announced for Premium members, including Tekken Dark Resurrection in March and Time Crisis in May.
The February Game Catalog lineup, arriving February 17, is headlined by Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, and Neva. Other additions include Monster Hunter Stories 1 & 2, Venba, and Disney Pixar Wall-E for Premium subscribers.
