Hey, do you guys remember Super Mario Run? Well, I forgot about it too, but Nintendo didn’t, as the mobile side runner game is getting a new, console tie-in event.
This time around, the phone game is immersing itself in the universe of Super Mario Galaxy, in order to celebrate the release of Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 on Switch 2. We should also remind you that the next Mario movie will also be Galaxy-centered…
Granted, we’re not talking about anything major here — this is a 9-year-old mobile game, after all. But like previous events, Super Mario Run players can unlock some Mario Galaxy themed rewards — namely, statues of Balloon Yoshi, Bee Mario, and Rosalina.
Every single one of those require 9 fulfilled missions to obtain, so the whole thing should make for a good chunk of hours of fun. And as mobile games go, this is one of the good ones…
It seems this is another Nintendo attempt at breathing new life into an old game, given the fact the Super Mario Run also had events celebrating Donkey Kong Bananza, Super Mario Jamboree and Luigi’s Mansion 2, to name a few.
