Warframe is back with another edition of its “Operation: Belly of the Beast” event, this time improving accessibility and the total volume of rewards players can earn. Not only that, but this limited-time event also introduces new features to keep the gameplay fresh, including a new mode centered around a character whose importance has grown significantly following the latest update.
While it may seem overwhelming at first, Operation: Belly of the Beast is actually easy to understand once you get familiar with its systems. Because of that, we put together a complete breakdown below so you can make the most of the event while waiting for the free-to-play shooter’s next major update, which is also arriving next month.
What is Operation: Belly of the Beast Event

“Operation: Belly of the Beast” is a recurring event in Warframe. It is a Clan Operation centered entirely around Ascension mode, the elevator-based mission located at the Brutus node on Uranus. The primary objective is to protect a mote-filled capsule while ascending the elevator and fighting off waves of Jade Light Eximus enemies. Players can also trigger an optional boss fight against the Sister of Parvos by finding three specific items called Sister Beacons scattered throughout the map.
If this sounds familiar, that is because the event originally debuted in 2024. However, the 2026 version is significantly more accessible and welcoming, allowing veterans, returning players, casual users, and newcomers alike to make meaningful progress.
When is Operation: Belly of the Beast Event

The event began on May 4, but there is still plenty of time to participate. Warframe’s Operation: Belly of the Beast will remain active through June 1, 2026.
Unlike major story-focused events, this operation is specifically designed around farming rewards, meaning it can be replayed as many times as players want. Both the main Ascension mission and the rotating Operation Alerts can be repeated throughout the entire event duration.
The smaller side objectives usually last between three and five minutes, while the main mission takes slightly longer without becoming overly demanding. Once a run is complete, players can simply restart the mission from the appropriate menu.
How to Join the Operation: Belly of the Beast Event

To participate in Operation: Belly of the Beast, players must first complete the Jade Shadows quest, which itself requires completion of The New War storyline. Once eligible, the operation can be accessed directly through special nodes on the Navigation screen.
During the mission, players must collect glowing green energy vials and throw them at the capsule to keep the elevator moving upward. Completing missions rewards Volatile Motes, the event’s primary currency, which can be traded with Ordis at the Larunda Relay on Mercury for various rewards.
Operation: Belly of the Beast Rewards

Every completed run rewards players with Volatile Motes, which can be exchanged with Ordis at the Larunda Relay on Mercury. The available inventory is extensive, featuring both returning rewards and several items exclusive to the 2026 edition.
New Rewards (2026 Edition)
These items were introduced specifically for the 2026 rerun:
- Gear & Power-ups: Archon Shards, including Crimson, Azure, and Amber variants, are available for 100 motes each.
- Weapon Augments: The Burning Hate mod for Hate and the Unseen Dread mod for Dread, previously exclusive to Nightwave, can be purchased for 25 motes each.
- Cosmetics: The Belly of the Beast Honoria, Jade’s Promise Orbiter Decoration, Lacera Scorn Skin, and Deathmark Shoulder Armor.
- Stalker Gear: A reusable Stalker Specter Blueprint, the Stalker’s Mark Sumdali, and the Reckoning collection of facial accessories, including the Earpiece, Mask, and Oculus.
Returning Operation Rewards
Several rewards from previous versions of the event also return:
- Weaponry: Blueprints for the Basmu and Ceti Lacera, both limited to one per account.
- Utilities: Stance Forma Blueprints and access to The Ballroom Simulacrum.
- Standard Arcanes: A large selection of Eidolon-tier Arcanes, including Arcane Avenger, Guardian, Strike, and Velocity, priced between 2 and 6 motes depending on rarity.
Clan-Exclusive Inventory
Players who belong to a Clan gain access to an additional tier of rewards:
- Legendary Arcanes: Arcane Energize, Arcane Grace, and Arcane Barrier.
- Reduced Costs: In 2026, the price of these Legendary Arcanes was reduced from 45 to 30 Volatile Motes each.
- Clan Cosmetics: The Enlightened Hate Skin, Belly of the Beast Emblem, and Gilded, Glyphed, or Phased Clan Sigils.
Community Progress Rewards
The Aspirus Ephemera series is tied to a global community progress bar that tracks the total number of motes collected by all players:
- 33% Progress: Aspirus Ephemera.
- 66% Progress: Aspirus Emergent Ephemera.
- 90% Progress: Aspirus Apex Ephemera.
Important Purchase Limits
- Arcane Cap: All Arcanes, including both standard and legendary variants, are capped at 42 purchases per player, enough to create two fully ranked sets.
- Account Limits: Certain rewards, including Archon Shards and specific weapon blueprints, are restricted to one purchase per account.
The reduction in Legendary Arcane costs from 45 to 30 Volatile Motes significantly lowers the grind required for these powerful endgame items. The addition of guaranteed Archon Shards and high-demand augment mods also gives players a direct path toward acquiring items that normally command high Platinum prices on the market. On top of that, the 2026 version of the operation benefits from numerous bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements that make the Ascension mission smoother and far more beginner-friendly than the original release.
The Stalker Experience

For players looking for a different experience, Operation: Belly of the Beast introduces the “Stalker Joins the Fray” mode. By speaking with Ordis at the Larunda Relay and selecting “A Shared Purpose?”, players can join another squad as a fifth member while controlling the Stalker himself. This is one of the reasons completion of the Jade Shadows quest is required, as that storyline heavily expands the Stalker’s lore and role within Warframe.
There are a few gameplay caveats. While controlling the Stalker, your name and health bar are hidden from the standard HUD, and you operate with a preset high-tier build featuring Umbral mods and Arcane Energize. However, this mode comes with major risks. The Stalker cannot be revived if downed. If you die while playing as him, the mission automatically fails and all earned rewards are lost.
That said, the Stalker is far from weak. His passive grants +300% Critical Chance while unseen, and his abilities include a lethal Teleport that refunds energy on kills, along with Punishment, which absorbs incoming damage and reflects it back as a projectile wave.
Although this mode does not provide additional rewards compared to standard runs, it is currently the only way to play as the Stalker in regular mission content.
Tips for Mastering the Operation: Belly of the Beast Event

The biggest threat during Ascension missions comes from Jade Light Eximus enemies, whose tracking laser attacks can quickly overwhelm unprepared players. A popular strategy is using the Silence ability through the Helminth system to disable Eximus powers entirely. Highly mobile Warframes like Titania and Wukong are also excellent choices due to the mission’s vertical design and constant movement requirements.
Players should also keep an eye out for the three hidden Sister Beacons scattered throughout the map. Activating all of them summons the Sister of Parvos at the end of the mission, rewarding additional Volatile Motes upon defeat. Fortunately, this version of the boss is far less punishing than the original 2024 encounter, making the extra rewards well worth the effort.
Final Thoughts

The 2026 rerun of Operation: Belly of the Beast is an essential event for any Warframe player looking to optimize gear progression without relying on the heavy RNG associated with activities like Eidolon hunts.
Its accessible structure also makes it an excellent opportunity for returning players to reacquaint themselves with the game while giving newer players a smoother path toward valuable endgame resources. Between the lower Legendary Arcane costs, guaranteed Archon Shards, and broad reward pool, the event serves as one of the most efficient progression systems currently available.
In many ways, it acts as an accessible bridge toward true endgame power.
