Epic Games Store has officially confirmed WWE legend Stone Cold Steve Austin skin is coming to Fortnite this week. Fortnite made the announcement via its official X account. This makes “The Texas Rattlesnake” the latest WWE superstar to appear in the world’s biggest battle royale video game. He joins the likes of The Undertaker, The Rock, and Cody Rhodes, who are available in the Item Shop.
Stone Cold Fortnite Skin Release Date Revealed
The long-rumored Stone Cold Steve Austin Fortnite skin is set to arrive on April 16. Fortnite revealed the release date with “And That’s The Bottom Line…” caption, a popular Stone Cold catchphrase during his WWE career. A short video clip also gives a glimpse of the skin showing Stone Cold in his signature attire: a leather vest, jean shorts, and knee braces.
He can be seen walking out in the same way as his shattered glass intro. The clip ends with Stone Cold smashing two cans together, guzzling down the drink, and showing the fist up sign. Fortnite has surely made a few changes to the intro to make it more appropriate as per the game’s teen rating. For example, Stone Cold used to smash beer cans during his intro, which seems to have been replaced with a soft drink in the game’s clip.
Stone Cold Steve Austin will be available as a part of the Fortnite 40.20 update. It is rumored to bring tons of changes and new content for players, including skins, emotes, and other Item Shop items. Another major WWE superstar speculated to join Fortnite this week is Liv Morgan, the winner of the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble. She earned the right to challenge WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer at WrestleMania 42 this weekend. Fortnite is yet to make an official announcement for Liv Morgan skin, but if true, it should happen in the next few days.
