The Enshrouded community was graced with a brand new update that arrived on April 21. Titled “Forging the Path”, the new version brought a lot of changes, and one of its key highlights is the “Adventure Sharing” feature.
According to the official description, this new tidbit aims to expand the Enshrouded brand to a more creator-friendly community, ensuring that user-created content gets featured and takes the spotlight—from players, to players.
It’s all in its very infancy as of now, and most of its capacities are still under development, but judging by the number of things available, it already shows promise. Read on to find out everything about it with our breakdown below.
What is Adventure Sharing?

Adventure Sharing is a community save system that lets you package your entire world—including bases, racetracks, and dungeons—and upload it to a central server for others to download and explore.
Now, “sharing your creation” is not something new in video games, but what makes Adventure Sharing stand out is its sheer scale. Instead of fan-made levels here and there, we are talking about entire worlds, built from the ground up, to be visited and perused by the community, fully integrated into Enshrouded’s mechanics.
While the project is aimed to be big, it is important to note that its current phase is somewhat embryonic. The game’s developers have likened this moment to a “beach episode,” meaning you can’t engage in combat, pick up items or loot, and full interactions are still on the “coming at a later date” part.
However, the whole thing is already growing into a robust size. According to several reports, in order to ensure the new feature doesn’t start out empty, devs at Keen Games have curated an initial list of content through community contexts and other engagements. So it’s not like you’ll have nothing to do.
How to Access The Adventure Sharing

Accessing these custom worlds is handled directly through the “Play” section in the main menu, which was revamped to accommodate the new feature in the new update. By selecting the Adventure Sharing mode, you can browse a library of uploads, using tags and filters to find exactly what you are in the mood for, whether it is a massive city or a challenging obstacle course.
Moreover, you can explore these worlds solo or even host a session so your friends can join you for a group tour. If you have a specific destination in mind, you can use Share Codes to visit private creations that aren’t listed publicly.
For those looking to contribute their own creations, the process is equally straightforward:
- Prepare Your World: Navigate to the “My Uploads” tab and select the local world you wish to share.
- Capture the View: Use the new Camera item, craftable at any workbench, to take high-quality preview screenshots that will represent your work in the browser.
- Set the Stage: You can designate a specific Flame Altar as the starting point to ensure visitors begin their tour exactly where you want them to.
Future Plans for The Feature

The current sightseeing version of Adventure Sharing is merely the foundation for what is planned for the full 1.0 release (expected by Autumn 2026). According to Keen Games, the studio’s intention is to evolve the new mode into a comprehensive player-made content platform. Future updates are expected to introduce “Logic Links,” a scripting system that will allow for triggers, interactive puzzles, and complex events.
Furthermore, the system will eventually support the placement of active enemies, traps, and rewards, effectively transforming shared worlds from static galleries into fully playable, community-driven dungeons.
Final Thoughts
Adventure Sharing represents a major milestone in Enshrouded’s journey toward its full release, turning the game into a canvas for infinite community adventures. While the current “read-only” status ensures technical stability and protects character progression, it sets the stage for a future where players can design their own gameplay challenges.
Enshrouded is available for early access purchase on PC via Steam.
