Running from April 21 to May 12, 2026, the event features the Kitsunebi, a splinter group that broke away from the original Outcasts. This faction introduces a new mechanic called “health link,” which distributes damage taken by one member across the entire squad. While this may sound like a “damage one, damage all” scenario, it actually reduces the amount of damage each individual takes, making them feel significantly more durable.
Since there is no dedicated storyline or lore-driven missions, the Kitsunebi primarily appear in “ambush encounters,” which occur every 10 minutes in the open world. Players must survive these encounters and eliminate the enemies to progress and earn rewards.

Defeating enough squads will eventually trigger the appearance of the Ronin, powerful bosses that alter the environment with dark blue petals and unique audio cues. Solo players will face one Ronin, while groups must fight both the Fox and Red Ronin simultaneously for better rewards.
Additionally, the city contains 40 corrupted cherry blossom lanterns that can be restored through interaction. Finding all of them unlocks a unique arm patch and provides daily opportunities to trigger additional encounters.
Possible Rewards and Exclusive Caches
Success in combat and exploration rewards players with Sakura Keys, which can be exchanged at the event vendor in the Base of Operations. These keys unlock two types of caches:
- Apparel Caches: These include a curated pool of 30 cosmetic items, such as the Kitsune, Horned Oni, and Tiger Boxer outfits. The system is duplicate-protected, and completing the full set unlocks the exclusive Lucky Cat emote.
