The biggest change is the New Game Plus mode that many players have been waiting for after completing the story. The update will also add new Photo Mode features, replayable content, and new cosmetics among other changes. The best part is that this is a free update for all Ghost of Yotei players and will arrive on November 24.
What’s New in the Free Ghost of Yotei Update?
New Game Plus mode will allow players to replay Atsu’s journey using all the upgrades, weapons, abilities, etc., they unlocked during the first playthrough. It will further add two new Trophies and higher difficulty options. The latter will help you keep the game challenging despite having all the upgrades from the beginning.
A new currency called Ghost Flowers can be exchanged with a new vendor. This will allow players to unlock over 30 new cosmetic items featuring new armors and weapon dyes. There are also 10 new charms for you to unlock. For your existing weapons and armors, there will be new upgrade tiers that you can unlock.
The free update will further allow players to replay content after they have completed the game once. There are new accessibility options and a new stats display. Photo Mode will receive new features like shutter speed, a composition grid, and new filters. As mentioned in the beginning, the new update will arrive on November 24 and will be free for everyone.
In other news, Ghost of Yotei was confirmed to have crossed 3.3 million units of sales within one month. This is not surprising considering the huge success Ghost of Tsushima was. The game has received praise from fans and critics alike around the world. The free update should help boost these already impressive numbers further. It is also set to receive a free DLC called Ghost of Yotei Legends in 2026. It will be a co-op multiplayer mode featuring a supernatural setting.
